    ATS Aquila

I am thinking about purchasing a set of ATC Aquila wheels for my car. I know they don't have a crazy lip, but, I like that they are slabby in the spokes. They are 16 x 7 with a 38mm offset. Let me know what you think and if you think the offset should fit okay. Thanks.

P.S., Don't mind the poor photoshop job.

They look heavy (No, that isn't heavy as in 'awesome', 'cool', 'hell yes'...I'm not that lame. They look heavy in weight).

i can't seem to find a weight spec anywhere and I had the offset wrong, it's 40mm. Will I have fitment problems with a 16x7?

FWD offset. Will probably need 15mm spacers and longer bolts to make those work.

Thanks. Is there a perfect offset for a 16" wheel on an e30? I know there have been a lot of posts around offset, but, I still am confused. You will have to excuse my lack of knowledge, I am from the watercooled Volkswagen world.

Offset is the same for all diameter wheels. Basically you're looking at ET25 as a basic ideal, but it can go many mm in each direction depending on width and tire size.

With those, you'll want 15mm spacers.

Perfect. Thanks Mystikal. That makes total sense.

Guess you don't want the baskets, huh? I decided to paint 'em and keep 'em. What part of 'Nati are you in?-

I am right downtown. Small World. I love the baskets, but, I was trying to stay on budget by using my existing/newer 16" tires. I bought some nice 16" Konig GT-R wheels off a vw guy, but, the offset sucks. I am going to need to buy spacers too.
