    Offset question

Hey, i just got a set of 16"wheels with a 40mm offset. I'm pretty positive that I wont run into any issues here, but its a 16x7 and i'm going to be running 225/45s, I think a 15mm spacer should be perfect, but I'd like a 2nd oppinion before i make spacers.

From what i hear as long as you are in the 20's in offset, you should be good. You may also need longer studs.

    THis doenst include ix's.

A 15mm spacer will be perfect for you. You'll also need longer lug bolts or a stud kit with long enough studs.

Also, 225/45 is a bit wide for a 16x7, but it will work. However I think you'll be happier with a 205/50R16

The tire specs say that it'll fit, otherwise i probably wouldn't go that route.

Why do you think I'd be happier with 205s?

        Thanks-

Strictly appearance wise. Yes the 225 fits the 7inch rim, but it will just look a little "bubblier", plus there is a much larger tire selection in 205/50R16. Both will work, if you want the extra width, I say go for it.

awesome... I was a bit worried for a second. I dont care all that much how they look- i'm just after the contact patch- I'm finally outdriving my tires with the m50 swap :) Thanks for your help.
