Odometers read over the actual speed so that you can't use the manufacturer as an excuse for speeding.

I've noticed every E30 I've owned/driven (a whopping 3) has been around 2-3 mph off at 25, 5mph off at 45, and 5-7mph off at 55-70. I cruise at 75mph and my GPS speedo says I'm doing 70mph. I cruise at 62mph and my GPS speedo says I'm doing 55.

Mines within 1-2 mph of my GPS, stock tire size, I think. Speed signs are about the same as well.

All of the speed signs from here to Los Gatos agreed with my GPS speedo. No clue why the 3 cars I have are so off, lol.

Seems all E30s are around 5 mph under. If im going 65 i keep up with people doin 60, im running 15s with my stock wheels it seemed more off, like 7-10mph
