Need help choosing good tires for a 16x8 wheel!

I just acquired a set of e38 style 5s, which will soon be redrilled and filled. Will be running small spacers both in the front and rear and I am also 24v swapped if that makes a huge difference.

After some research, it seems like 215/45r16 is the recommended tire size to go with 16x8 et23 but I feel like 225s would be a better choice since I'm going s52 here soon (currently m52). What do you 16 inch wheel guys run? What about you swap guys? Any tire preference? Toyo Proxes R1R? BFG? Falken Azenis?

I'm looking for good grip, good treadwear, and quiet. That's probably asking for a bit much but maybe there are some tires out there that people continuously choose over others.

Again, I would like to stick with a 45 sidewall whether it be 215 or 225. I understand that I would probably have to roll the fenders which is what I am prepared to do anyways. Any advise? Input? Any help would be appreciated.

FredK already gave me a quick tip-- thanks for that by the way.

I just installed the same wheels. e38 Style 5s with BFG KDW2 in 225/45R16. So far they feel great and a surprising amount of wet traction considering how aggressive the tread pattern looks.

Are they noisy? How is the dry grip on them? Any dislikes yet?

I've seen and been through all the tire threads man, I want some real people experience with certain tires that worked for you. Likes and dislikes, throw them this way.

They've only been on for a day so I don't have anything on the noise, or the dry grip. It's been raining nonstop here.

But so far they feel great.

              Thanks for input IronJoe.

Anyone else recommend a tire? Khumo? Sumitomo? Any specific model?

Kumho Ecsta XS... really sticky but might wear fast. What are you looking for out of the tire?

Daily Driveability minus winter since I'll probably run 14in basketweaves during the rough times, plenty of grip and as quiet as possible as far as a reasonably high performance tire goes.

Any good reviews of the Toyo R1R out there as far as DD goes? I wouldn't touch the R888s for DD but maybe the R1Rs?
