Would an 18x7.5 wheel look bonkers on an e30?

just browsing some craigslist and came upon a cheap deal on some rims that are 18x7.5 (all four)with a 42mm offset...
just wondering if this would look retarded on an e30.... or possibly even work!
i mean i think big wheels look nice.... but i hate seeing retards with there 20" plus rims looking like baboons.
i'd hate to give off that vibe.
any advice? or picture examples?

18s = donk'd out fail , and why would you want a 42 offset.

15's and 16's look the best. Some e30s can pull off 17's , anything bigger is just stupid and if you do, just sell you car and get a Tahoe for the "big rims" look.

and honestly i know not a lot about wheels and tires so i dont even know what a 42mm offset means.... i sorta assumed it ment that they are 42mm further out than normal? i have no idea...

I dunno, I think with the correct stance an e30 can pull of 18's.

Some mtech2 and e30 m3s can pull it off. Not much hope for the rest, 17s even look dumb on some.

On a non m e30 it won't be pretty, especially with that kind of offset. Its a general rule that the larger the wheel is, the lower you have to be to wear it well. Ryan's M3 is about the only car I have seen to wear 18's well.
