    wheel + tire size ???

have access to a free set of tires. looking at picking up a set of custom 15x8 wheels. so, im thinking 17mm offset should be about right, am i right? also the tires are 205/50/15, i know they will be streched onto the rim, but they are free, can i run these until i pick up a set of 225/50's? thanks,

    Dan

edit: also, could i fit 15x10? what offset, and could i still run the stupid streched 205's until i picked up bigger tires. and when i pick up bigger tires can i get 235/45's? will they fit?

ET22 is perfect for the 15x8's.

You'll never be able to use the width of a 10" wheel, stay with the 8" ones. You can still mount 235/45 tires to them perfectly.

the fronts wont hit the strut with et22? i was thinking et20 and running a 5mm spacer up front.

Nope, the 15x8 Kosei guys are running ET22 with 225's on them.

Now that I think about it, you won't be able to run 235's on the ET22. When I posted earlier I was only thinking about wheel width being able to support the tire.

You will probably want around ET16-18 to get 235/45/15 on there. If you're thinking about something wild like 200-treadwear Falkens or Hankooks, you'll need an ever lower offset as those run wide.

yea, so if i get et20 and run a 5mm spacer in front i should be good right? to run at least 225's that is, possibly 235s?

Fa sho. Telling you right now though, a regular 5mm spacer is not safe for the track, you'd have 3mm of hub for the wheel to sit on. You could probablt get some 15mm ones and machine them down or something, but OTS 5mm spacers suck.
