Cheapest readily available 15" wheels for E30

I just finally found an E30 to prep for stage rally use (intro & build threads to come) and I'm starting to dig into the cost of prep work. One thing I've run into is the fact that 90% of rally tires are 15" rim size and thus require a wheel upgrade to be used. There are 14" rally tires, but the selection and availability are very limited.

So the question is this: if I'm going to replace the wheels on the car and build up some spares, what's the cheapest way to do so for an E30? (change to 5*120 is an option, especially if you have cost numbers)

    A few more notes:

    1.) Aluminum >> steel
    2.) Fugly is A-OK
3.) Solidity >> stylish thin spokes

^^ That is exactly what I was about to say in my email to you, mike. Best track tire, hands down. Cheap, light, and strong. the 15x7 TRM C1s are $90 per wheel brand new, and have been proven on the track. In fact, those are the wheels pictured in the signature above, if I am not mistaken.

Rally, well, i haven't heard of any reports of them being used for rally, but I suppose they should be just as good.

      Here you go:

Also, Mike, E30 wheels are 4x100, 57.1mm center bore. Converting to 5x120 is a bit involved, you need rear suspension from an E36 ti, or a Z3, and front suspension from an E36 M3, and it can get costly. I'd say just stick to 4x100.

For the sake of knowing your options, The LTW5 is a newer lightweight racing wheel made for the E30. 15x7 and 25mm offset @ $105.

And for real proven track wheels, check out the Team Dynamic 1.2. At the most recent HPDE I was at a number of the E30's were sporting these. They also come in 15x7 and 25mm offset @ $109

I'm not going to say the C1's aren't a good wheel. And I'm not about to say a good track wheel makes a good rally wheel. But a flip through the Pro3 Calender will show how proven the LTW5 and Team Dynamics are on the track.

I'm sure others will have better advice than I :)
