    BBS RS Lip poll

    I'm thinking about purchasing new lips for my 15" RS but not sure which to get. What do you guys think...

    1.5"
    2"
    2.5"
    3.0"

    Are the stainless lips worth the extra money or will the aluminum lips do just fine?

                  i like a medium lip so you can keep the offset higher and run wide tires. 2" is good.

                      2" is good, would leave you with a 15x8 ET12 IIRC.

                      205/50 or 225/45 become an option.

                      Even tires like the Kumho XS in 205/50 will sit nearly square shouldered. And the RS-3 (if you want a sticky tire) in 225/45/15 would look AMAZING.

                                  depends on what you want..what are you going for?

                                  i am a bit basic, i like my big lips :P i've got a set of BBS RS036 in the exact same sizes as you, 15x7 +25 and i am planning to go 2.5" and 3" lips to acheive 15x8.5 +6 and 15x9 +0. This will require some stretch and camber and going real low.

                                  just another option :) try to find the topic by Jim Lepage. His red E30 has the same sizes as i posted above to give you an idea of final product

                                      nice! i had a chance to pick up some bbs rs's but i didnt like the lip size and ididnt think people still sold them

                                                  I'm in the process of refinishing a set of 2.5" step lips right now if you need some visual reference. These wheels will end up 16x8 +13 in the rear.
