Forced to change tire sizes :-( Pics of a 205/45/R16 on a 7.5in rim?

215/40R16s are unfortunatly no longer available in my area. I used to have 2 sets worth of Sumitomo HTR+ but I've burrned through 'em and none of the 3 local distributors I use has them or intend on stocking anything So I unfortunatly need to find something similar. I am not really a fan of ordering online, if there is a tire issue it takes a little while to iron out.

Before the 215/0R16 I ran a 205/50R16 and had issues with it rubbing over bumps and while under acceleration even with an empty trunk. So mathmatically a 205/45r16 is the next size up. It's sidewall is only a 1/4in higher so hopefully it doesn't look much different. The 205/50 to 215/40 was noticably different even though the 205 only has a .75in taller sidewall. ANyone have any shots of a 205/45r16 on a 7.5in rim on an E30?

    Thanks

205/50 Rubs with my set up. I ran that size before I switched to 215/40.

Thanks, I was trying to stay local though, that way if I got an unrepairable flat or a pothole blow out (since our highways have "speed bumps") I could get a tire quick.

Plus I only paid like $42 a tire for the Sumitomo's... haha It was great for about 3 sets.

205/45R16 is acceptable. they are a little more stretchy because of the smaller sidewall. not terribly small:
