What coilovers are you running? I'm not looking forward to messing around which chopping and welding stuff for them... or paying out the ass for them.

If I remember this car correctly, those are staggered OZ fittipaldi's. 17x10 & 17x8.5. Trying to fit a 10' wheel in the front would be retarded on stock fenders. Even HEAVILY pulled it would look stupid and probably impossible. Pulled and rolled, a 9" wide wheel is about as wide as you can get on stock front fenders pending the offset.

Yes JOM. I've read a lot on them and there isn't as much bad news as expected. A few people said 4k miles and still running well, one guy had them for a year and switched after because it wasn't good enough but he said they were still decent for the price. If worse comes to worse I'll upgrade down the road but I don't think I'll be driving this for next winter so the summer and fall might be what i need then next spring (provided everything else stays in good shape) I'll pay for a good set of coil overs.
Cheers,

10" and 8" will work. pending the offset in the rear will determine how much rolling and pulling will be needed. Do a search of my name. look at the thread "test fit". should give you a nice idea of what offset and size you want. I hbe another thread titled "yes, yes, yes" that has the finished set up with tires on. my suspension is hr race & Billy sports. JoM coils will work but I would rather go with something dampening adjustable since you wanna go low. It will let you get closer to the tires without rubbing.

I have a feeling going low is going to ravish my car to death. but I'm down like Charlie Brown on getting a fat set of DR steelies on my car.
I started looking around at different coil over sets. I understand $1000-$2000 for a proper set with custom rates, dampening, etc. is the tits but I can't shell out that money. At the same time I am one of those people who think it's best to do it right the first time and not have to keep replacing shit parts (generally speaking).
And the shitty thing is unlike most other car projects you can get a massive set of wheels and stick them on without rolling and going low, and you can roll and go low with my shitty stock wheels. It just doesn't work like that ahah.
I'll keep doing research, need to order parts for my m50 swap in a month and then get that done and while I'm home I'll make a fender roller to bring back to university with me. I will also work like a dog and maybe pull off a GC kit.... hmm.
Thanks again for the post, your car is the tits Brandon. really like the blacked out front and tail lights. Oh yeah, wheels aren't too shabby either :)Comment

Thanks man. I actually don't have those wheels anymore. Reason being? Stupid heavy(33-39lbs each w/ tires), Constant rubbing, and staggered fitment makes your car handle like shit compared to a square setup.

I'm in love with the second picture to me they look like 10" rear and 8" front. But I'm having trouble getting hold of dbill I've tried emailing him through hotmail and I've got no reply. Does anyone if he ships overseas?Comment

Maybe I won't do staggered for my first set of rims just so fewer things can go wrong. 8 inch DRW all around, and I'll thinking about fitment, fender rolling and suspension a bit more so I know what my goal is.
Speaking of fender rolling, I shouldn't need to do that with 8inch right?Comment
