Custom Lips for my Hartge 3pc's?

    Hi guys

So some of you may know that I have a set of 16x7 Hartge 3pc rims as in my sig. Problem with these wheels is that they were made by Hartge Japan, meaning that the seam has been welded!

Now I would like to conver these to some 17x8 and 17x9 with staged lips, I have a wheel shop here in Adelaide that can pull the wheels apart, but they wont make custom lips for me. They said that they can do particular brands like BBS but if I want custom lips for these wheel I will have to contact the manufacture.

Now I have sent emails to Hartge Japan and Germany and also contacted Rays Engineering supplier here and Japan about some custom lips with no respons!!!!!

So I want to know why the shop here can not make custom lips and if anyone knows of somewhere that will?

    Cheers guys

True but Hartge Japan 3pc are extremely rare and I would like to jazz them up a bit. If at the end of the day it can't be done or is way to much ill just have these pulled apart and cleaned up and get my self another set of rims in the size I want have these for ballin.

But I would still like to know if this can be done and where it can be done.

How many bolts are there? You may be able to find a lip that fits from another brand of wheel. I'm pretty sure regular Hartge's were made by OZ, not sure about the Japanese ones.

No last I sore of him was last year when I bought the wheels. I think he was going to sell the E30 JPS as well. But I don't get around much on ECCA I always seem to be busy when they have a meet .

Yeh they wheels are nice the way they are but do need to be pulled a part and refreshed, if I am going to do that I want to jump up a wheel size and get a bit wider ill still keep the origianl lips but I would like to have a set of rims for ballin, and a set for buissness.

Well, they sell custom lips, so they have to have a manufacturing source.

Whether they make the lips themselves or not doesn't really matter, but they can get them for you.

It's all the same in the end.
