what i mean is, i have a love of VIP cars and used to have a Lexus GS300 myself before my E30. I've got a stack of VIP Car and VIP Style magazines i flick through regularly. Those guys know how to fit out a car! It is all around big wheels, custom guardwork, camber etc.
Those guys do what you did- Buy wheels you want, customise how you want, don't compromise. Then do what it takes to fit them to the car.

This results in some crazy guardwork and widebodys, often they cut out the inner part of the wheel well, build out the door sills etc to get it to work on big 4 door sedans. But the flow is all important. They basically try to get the new lines to 'flow in' with the existing, or make a point of making it obvious they arent meant to flow and are modified.

It is all about having the angle matching to a degree. So you can have guard angle, camber angle and tyre stretch angle all in alignment. Or just guard and tyre if you wish. But altogether it makes the wheels and car look very wide and squat, or in the case of big camber, squashed looking almost! but it tends to flow together like the car was made to fit the wheels.

With you car how it sits currently, it looks like the wheels werent quite intended for the car. they just dont quite flow in with the body. i know it is difficult with E30 guards and rear suspension setup so i am not pretending it is easy. but for me, i would prefer it to look like the car got fat over the fat wheels, rather than a smallish car getting slapped with wide wheels and just stretching the rubber to make it roll without considering the angles.

i know this is all a bit technical, i just pore over these cars and realised there is more to it than you think sometimes. but if you are going for that 'wheels pop out like dogs balls' type look, you got that for sure! i just think it goes away from the wheels a little since the flow isnt there. Its like they are some awesome ass wheels, but they dont quite sit right in context..

Great build! How long to order and receive delivery from Tunershop on those lips?

I belive shipping took about 3-4 weeks dueto the fact i had to wait for them to apply a clearcoat to the lips. minus the clearcoat i would imagine no more than 3 weeks.

Yeah I feel the guard should cover a little more cause it doesn't flow at all. But as you say it's your build and they're some sexy ass rims!

Reduce lip size??!! nope. This is just the start of this build. lots of changes coming for next season. :mrgreen:

I love the wheels, I would pull the fenders out and lower it a little more, but it is your car.

Honestly it pokes a ton.. and i wasn't expecting it to poke that much as i was trying to calculate a full rebuild of BBS RS from the middle of the Persian Gulf.. not being able to touch or see what i had to work with.. i had to estimate and sketch everything. Again, i couldn't be happier with the outcome.
