    RX-7 brakes, vs-xx wheels,

So im on ground control coils as low as they sit,

And i just finished installing rx-7 calipers. I had kerscher carmonas on it, And they didnt clear.

So i went out and bought 17x8/17x9 et.35 vs-xx. They are 5 lug, So i ordered adaptors that are taking forever.

My question is, will these fit/clear? The offset will come down a et.15. same as the carmonas (which i ran a 2mm spacer in front, with grounded calipers)

I was told i couldnt run anything more than a 215.40.17. So thats what i bought, but being a turbo'd m30. Im looking to put down some more power.

So my second question is, If i got a pair of (blank). in size, 16x8 et.25, What size tire could I run? Could i fit a 225 or 235 / 45/16?

VS-XX come in different brake clearances, this is called the Disc of the wheel. do you know which Disc the ones you got are? There is Hi, Mid and Low (and that refers to brake clearance).

Edit - just checked the site for you on the brake clearance thing..

      A Disk - standard clearance
      O Disk - deep rim
R Disk - big brake caliper

I would imagen they are going to fit. The 17x8 +35 will not have must of a disk and a medium sized hub. So I am guessing with a 20mm spacer they are going to clear no problem. I've seen several 17x8 +35 VS-XX and other sizes to in my day. The cool thing is you could get different lips down the road to make them wider also.

          Keep us posted.

That i will, I know most of what i says its all over the place.

Last years set up 16x9 et. 15 all around, with 2mm spacer in front.

17x8 et.15 in the front, with a 215.40.17 in the front. im more than positive it will fit. I was told not to run spacers with adaptors

^The adapters are still adding clearance.

The 17x8 APEX wheels seem to be the right solution. Lots of clearance (everything but the MAssive Race kit I think), lightweight, affordable, and you can stuff a 235/40 or 245/40/17 on them.

                    So here it is folks!

I have a bit of rubbing in the front, but the fender roller will take car of that. so they were 17x9 et.35 and 17x8 et.35, with a 20mm adaptor. with 215/40/17s all around.

I guess i could drop the fronts to 205's and it would fix the issue also.
