17x9's what tire?

picking up some 17x8/9's wondering what tire i should run?

would 255/40 be a big stretch or should i go with 275/40?

i dont want to stretch much but thinking i should just for fender's sake, tho i wish i could run a larger tire to take advantage of the big wheel.

255/40 will not be a stretch on either of those sizes... and 275/40 will be the opposite of stretch (meat hanging off rim)

also both of those sizes are kind of tall

you also didn't say what you are doing with the car, if you are lowered, what offset the wheels are, and if you have your fenders rolled...

ya i said nm cause i saw already what you were saying about meaty tires, kinda what i'm looking for.

not sure what offset the wheels are yet i know its high prob around 38 but i'll end up needing adapters but not sure what size yet.

I'm sure i'll end up rolling the fenders, i'm just short of info til the wheels get here. I want alot of tire cause i get tired of it riding hard (the roads here are bogus). just not sure what all i'll be able to stuff under the fender(but those also look tall as i've been seeing)
