Damn those have the perfect fit! I'm still on the hunt for a set of 16" RS for both of my cars as spares. The M might get Hartges now though.

Nice. Just to give you an idea what these are worth over here.
You sir just made my day. Thanks for the link I have saved it in my Hartge folder. Unbelievable what folks want for these.

e30lyf you find those on craigslist? what a lucky person you owe one to dave. ;-)
Yes from Trevor, I think you may have had an opportunity to get these rims before I did. Thanks for not beating me to the punch. I also understand that you owned my car before Dave. I am trying my best to do it right so Dave can see that he sold it to the right enthusiast that will bring the old girl back to where she deserves to be. Dave has become a good friend over the past few years. He is a great guy and helps me out all the time.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Thanks Ian,

Now I have the Hartge bug. I just keep finding more cool parts to add to the girl. Now that I have read Matt's cool turbo build I think the Mtech needs that too give her a little kick in the butt. ;) Slowly but surly this build will get done.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Thank you for your comment. Today a friend brought over some longer wheel bolts which were needed. I am happy with the fitment so they will go to get refinished in the next couple of weeks. Here are some pictures of the fitment with 235/40/17 Proxes.

During the past month I have been looking for a used set of 235/40/17 tires to do a test fit on the Mtech before I refinish the Hartge rims. I live in a small town and have made trips to the two tire shops every other week without any luck. A good friend of mine is building an E30 Alpina car and has some B-10's fit with 235/40/17 tires on the front which I borrowed to do the test fit.

This is the Alpina B10 8" rim with the 234/40

This is the Hartge 7 1/2" rim with the same tire

I have a little more bulge on the 7 1/2" rim which I like.

Either tomorrow or Saturday I will do the test fit and post up a few more pictures of the rims and tires on the car.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Thanks Rob and Mr. stroker,

They will be going up to OC for the refurb in a few weeks. Trying to see if I can widen the rears an inch for a little more meat on the ground without any more fender work. That would make the rears an ET13 and that created problems with the 15" BBS RS 001's. I am hoping the 17" wheels will be better fitment. I think a staggered set would look and handle better. I also have to check out one of the barrels due to a welding repair and make sure that the barrel is going to work or if it will have to be replaced.

    Cheers,

    Jim
