    Urgent wheel help! diamond racings

    Hey guys,
I'm sure this question has been asked 1110000 times however I have had a search and yet still, no definitive answers...

I'm failing to understand what work is required for 15x8's to fit on my e30.
At the front I plan on running 5" backspace for a bit more room, and 4.5" BS in the rear.

So what will need to be done to make these fit properly? I have rolled my guards quite vigorously so rubbing there shouldn't be too much of an issue. I'm just worried about the front specifically, as people have said that grinding the caliper bracket back is required, however I'm unsure if this is the case if I go with a 5" backspace.

If grinding is inevitable, what size spacer would be needed to clear the bracket?

Sorry for the nooby questions but it is my first post so I'm entitled to being a noob for the time being,

    Thanks!

Diamond racing steelies do not work well on german cars b/c german cars require hubcentric wheels, Diamond racing steelies are lug centric. They are cheap steel wheels designed for race teams to use for a season or two and toss in the scrap heap and hence are not manufactured to the level of quality some people expect from an aftermarket wheel.

If your dead set on steelies for your e30 I would recommend you look into some widened Corrado steelies as they are manufactured hubcentric to work on VWs and happen to work well on e30s from what I've seen.

      Thanks for the advice.
I think I'm just going to get some ESM's, steelies are too hard + too much weight.

^ hey bud. there is a guy here in Perth selling Aluett rims, 16x9 +15 with new tyres i think he wants 1300 or so. They are basically a copy of Borbet T rims (5 spokers).
if you look in the Australia and New Zealand part of this forum you'll see he has a post there called 'sick wheel for sale' or something like that! You may need a small slip on spacer to clear the calipers but i think he even has those to throw in

Otherwise yeah your ESMs, Rotas etc are all over the place for cheap prices. The local dealer for Rotas is Perth based too so you can get those for low prices, depending if he has the width, offset and diameter you want in stock in 4x100
