    15mm spacer on 9J wheel - ET0 and problems?

I'm after getting my front legs fully rebuilt with new bearings and BC coilovers and was trying to work out what kind of spacer I need for the wheels to clear my struts.

What I have is Borbet B's, 16x9 ET15, I'm going to need a 12-15mm spacer to clear the coil or lock ring on the coil overs, this leaves me with ET 0 I think?

Anyone running this, what kind of arch work have you had to do to go low?

Might not be to bad, I have iX arch flares to go on as well. Will it clear the wings though or do I need crazy camber? Hoping to keep camber neat stock or what ever is ideal.

Money won't get them Borbets to leave me Koen :D

I can get away with a 3mm spacer to clear the calliper and it just clears the strut as well, going to see about getting shorter springs instead of a spacer and lots more agro.

Told you, shorter stiffer springs is what you need.

Looks like it Rav. Had a play after you were saying earlier.

Strut down as far as it will go into the slieve, can't remember what size spacer though (either 9mm or 12mm) and 215/40 tires. Looks very close.

Strut 90mmish into the slieve, 215/40 tires, 3mm spacer to clear the calliper.

I think I'll wait till I can drop the car on all four until deciding on springs, it looks very close above! I'll get an arch roller in at the wings with the wheel spaced out as far as it will go.

I'm not sure with the first pic, I'll try it again tomorrow. Also noticed the strut locking ring fouls the wheel but it's not wound down, I think this might have thrown me of a little

The second picture is with a 3mm spacer (from memory).

Did those GC coilovers come ready built to the lower part, or did you do it yourself???
Just wondering if the welding is all straight as it should be?

You cut the strut and leave 50mm of a stub, the sleeve goes over that and you weld it on. It was a very tight fit, we had to use a mallet to get it on. I think maybe their struts or springs are a bit larger in dia than what is normal.

Just wondering on how much the GC strut is to the Gaz ones??

Just measured them there, 53mm OD on the threaded strut. The spring measures about 85mm OD. (about 3-3/8 inch I think)
