Can't be, the vibrations would be evident with both sets of wheels on the car if it were tie rod ends. Thanks though. It's already been narrowed down to being tires.

If you have a lot of tread let you could get the tires shaved (like racers do) but just enough to true them in relation to the wheel.

I thought about doing that, but the issue is finding someone around here that has the ability (and expertise) to do it right. For $300, I'll take my chances on a new set of tires.

Have you tried rotating the wheels from the rear to the front?

I have a small shake too but everything I'm ky front end is solid or hard poly. No rubber anywhere. So i guess my shake could be no vibration dampening parts up front. And 600lb spring rates lol

True and unbent being the key words here. Even though you've had the wheels balanced that does not mean they are straight. I still vote wheels as the culprit before tires. e30 wheels are known for bending near the lug nuts.

Although it is curious that the vibration does not change when the wheels are rotated. I would think that if it were either wheels OR tires that a change would be noticeable with rotation of the wheels.

Oh? How did you rule out the wheels?

Wheels just don't bend on their own and I haven't hit anything that would cause a wheel to get bent. It has to either be the tires or the wheels and since I'm confident that no damage has been done to the wheels, I'm putting my bets on it being the tires. I'll know for sure if it's the tires when I get a new set, but for now I'm just staying around 65-70 to avoid the shakes!
