Are these real or fake 2-piece wheels? +Cleaning Q

To clarify for the smart-ass folks, I'm fully aware that they are real wheels. But does the center separate from the rim, or are the cap screws just for styling? I ask because of re-painting plans. Also, the screws have torx-like sockets, but weird. Can someone ID this fastener so I can find a tool for them?

2nd question - How do I clean and polish all the crap off the polished rim?

    Thanks!

That is a one piece as stated, although you my be able to remove screws to paint wheel.
Here are types of screw drives: http://cadsetterout.com/resources/re...-screw-drives/ hope this helps.
Scroll down to triple square or 12 point torx.

you can polish the rim by simply mounting them to the rear, propping up the entire rear end, and running the car in 1st gear, 2nd gear...etc to polish to a mirror shine.

Anything my idiot PO bought is automatically the cheapest available, so yes.

I never realized how much I didn't know about screw thread history. Must make amends. :)

Slick. What products would you use? Ultra-fine sandpaper or scuffing pad to knock off all the embedded crap?
