center caps - one size fits all?

I found some 68mm BMW center caps on eBay. The existing caps from my ASA (cheap BBS knockoff) wheels measure 70mm OD with my cheap dial calipers. Are all center caps the same size & interchangeable?

No. You want the e39 style 5 decals. They are 70mm.

I think it would be wise to buy the caps complete, because the curvature/concavity/convexity on the emblems appears different from my weak aftermarket caps.

Any problem with these? The wheels are 5-lug E36, BTW.

      Thanks!

Which part of those are 70mm though? The decal or the plastic holder? I've used domed BMW center decals on my flat konig remembers and they fit fine.

70mm is the OD of the holder and fits pretty snug into the wheel. The sticker w/ plastic cover sits within a thin ~1mm wide ridge around the edge. So the sticker itself is closer to 68mm. But I don't think I can remove the old emblems without destroying the cap. Did you remove the Konig emblems before sticking the BMW ones?

The Konigs come with the emblems in a baggie because they know no one will ever use them. lol. So the caps have a pretty substantial hole in the center but it did not effect the ability of the decals to stay firmly secure.
