    More fake wheel stuff....

Browsing ebay.co.uk for a set of RS and came across this listing:

    God they look cheap...

Being that my current e30 isn't worth a 2K set of wheels, I'm thinking this might not be a bad option. Can't stand the gold bolts but for the price I would be willing to deal.

This makes me wonder if the wheels are made by the same supplier that other RS replicas come from and whether or not they will eventually be sold in the US...(I'd rather give Ary the money and support a US small biz).

I really enjoy mesh wheels, want some dish and don't want to spend that much money since my e30 is a beater car. However, I wouldn't be too upset separating with the coin for a wheel I like the look of. Sportmaxx makes nothing I like. Maybe I'm too old? I hate replicas but my car doesn't justify the real thing.

What are your thoughts aside from "fuck fake splits?"

I like the fact that they are 15" and have a lip. And that the center is pretty much flat unlike the other knockoffs have a curved face to them.

If i´m not wrong these are made by DARE in the UK.
The price is right if you want BBS look a likes. Another plus is that they come in 16x8 and 16x9 fitments for the e30.
I´ve seen them mounted in the above sizes and they look great. The 8´s up in front have a nicer dish than the 7.5´s
The only thing that lets these wheels down are the centre caps. They look a bit chintzy.

Sadly, I don't have flash at work so I can't view Dare's website. I think a square set of 8s would be nice. I emailed the ebay seller to see if they will ship to the states. If shipping doesn't kill me, I'll pull the trigger.

I´m not keen on his choice of rubber and he has his coilovers all the way up to deal with the country roads, but i can say that it looks better in person.

16 x 8´s all around, i agree. As soon as i can free up some cash i´m going to splurge on a set. Too bad they don´t come in gold.

I'm assuming by the description that the 4x100 are dual drilled? Does anyone have a pic of the wheel center without the cap on? The 16X8's have a great offset for proper E30 fitment.

Yup, that's the set I was looking at. However, these are likely to be available in the US by the end of January (a little bird told me) so I'm going to hang out and wait for that to happen. I wouldn't be mounting them until spring anyway so I plan on handing my money to an American company when the opportunity presents itself.
