    Tires for Kopis??

My Kopis are on the way should be here on monday, question now is what tires to run. I've seen that most people run 215/40, should i stick with this or something else?

Also, any tire recommendations, I'm looking for something that is of average expense, something that can be a summer tire, but that isn't necessary.

    thanks,
    matt

215/40/17 is about as much tire as you can get on there, with the ET20 offset and 7.5" width they really fill out the fenders.

Good values in good tires in that size:
    BFG G-Force Sport
    Falken ZE-512
    Fuzion ZRi
    Kumho Ecsta SPT

All offer very reasonale treadwear with solid performance. The ZE-512 is the least aggressive (but with the best treadwear rating), while the SPT is probably the most performance-oriented. The Falken is also extremely cheap.

I have had two sets of 215/40 on my Kopis and I now have 235/40s. My fenders are rolled a bit though, otherwise I could not fit them.
I have had yokohama parada spec 2s, Es100s and I currently have yoko AVS sports. I really like the AVS sport that I have now, however I think you can only get that in a 215/45.
My recomendation would be the G force sport though.

Why not 225/45 or 225/40? Anyone? Nick? Mystikal?

225/45 is a bit oversized for the e30. The stock sidewall size is 86mm. A 225/45 tire would put you around 101.25mm which is going to rub like hell.
Back when I had stock fenders my 215/40s rubbed alittle. Definitly nothing more than 215/40 with that offset and stock fenders.

225/45 is an inch oversized. Really won't fit.

235/40/17 is a lot closer to our diameter, that can work. On Kopis though, you'll be rolling for hours and praying not to crack the paint.

225/40/17 would be PERFECT. But the only tire in that size is an old Nitto, horrible.
