I had a honda S2000 this past summer and it had terrible wet traction. I ended up trying Continental Extreme Contact DW. They gave me great wet traction while only giving up a little dry traction. Not sure if there available in your sizes, but may be worth checking out.
These are excellent in the rain if you can get em in your size, yes.
