Determining offsets and sizes for an E30

Instead of me asking if X and Y wheel/tire combo will work on my car, how about we get a sticky going of the math needed to determine this? Or maybe if there are too many variables in the math, just a database of wheel/tire combos that work with or without rubbing.

Specifically, I wanted to know if any 16x7.5 Kosei K1s work with 225/45/16 on a '90 325is with koni/IE-stg3 springs..... but the knowledge to find this information on my own would be much more valuable.

    Thanks in advance!

You need to specify the offset inorder for someone to tell you if it will.

But I don't want someone to just 'tell me' if it will work. I want to know how to figure this out on my own.

go to www.tirerack.com click on shopping tools, then tech center, than choose wheels. now look for offset. everything is explained. good luck.
