Help me decide on wheels...*Edit-wheels installed on pg 2*

I need help deciding what wheels to choose for my car. It’s a 1990 325is sitting on H&R sport springs. For tires, I am looking at Continental ExtremeContact DW in 205/40/17 or 215/40/17 (depending on the wheel)

Here are a few pics with the stock basket weaves on the car.

The three wheels I am looking at are:
    1) BMW style 73 wheels with adapters 4x100 to 5x120. It’s a 17x7 with offset of 43, so a 20 mm adapter should be perfect if my math is correct. This is my favorite for looks by far, but running adapters holds me back. I might decide to auto-x the car someday, and I would not do that with adapters.

    2) Apex Arc-8, 17x8. Probably the best of the three as far as weight, fitment, and width. I like the looks of these, just not as much as the Style 73's

    3) Aplina replicas in 17x7.5 (i.e., Kopi). I would run these without the center caps (I think).

Help me decide! Also, if one of those pictures is of your car, thanks for unknowingly letting me use your picture. If anyone else has more examples on red cars, post them up.

I say the Apex, or the Kopi's.

Also, welcome to the site from a fellow ID e30 owner. Are you on IMS?

I vote Apex for performance or Kopis for looks.

I a big fan of how the ARC-8 looks and the lightness is just another bonus, so that's where my vote goes.

I have checked out IMS before, but I'm not active. What part of ID are you in?

Id go with the apex wheels if I were in the market for 17s.

Apex, but having those adapters with the styles gives you room to play with other wheels which is also nice.

Apex is awesome, lightweight and perfect fitment.

Kopis are nice but running them with no caps will not look good since they're a 5 lug casting with a 4 lug pattern.

Please don't run a 205/40 on any of them though, it's too small.

OK guys, it seems like the Apex are the top vote. So for the next question, what color?

The pictures above in my first post are hyper silver and anthracite (I think). The only other color I can find of them on a red car is this one. Looks like Satin Black.

Does anyone else have any other pics? I am leaning towards hyper silver or hyper black.

Wow... They all look disgusting to me. And 17's are way too big for an e30!!

I'm not for the apex, they just don't look right to me... maybe on an m3. I like the style 73s, but I would stay away from the 4-5 lug adapters... 5lug swap maybe? I like them because they're different, haven't seen a lot of e30s with them. I'm not one for knockoff wheels either, but I think the alpinas look the best of the 3. If it were me and on a budget... find some bbs 4x100 with some nice lips in need of a little love and refurb them yourself.

Eastern. It looks like there is more interest in the e30 there than there was about a year ago.
