    Center Lock wheels

    Anybody running center lock wheels on their e30? Probably not...

    There was one in a Speedhunters article one time. I think the accepted method of getting monolug setups is to only bolt in one out of 4 lugs. Works just as well.

                          I don't want to be a negative nancy here, but centerlocks, while achingly beautiful and period correct on DTM E30 M3s, don't really have an application for road-going E30s, Motorsport or not.

                          Used E50s are stupid expensive, and those hub adapters, even reproductions, are stupid expensive. Additionally, E50s are race wheels. Every season or perhaps even more often, the wheel centers were x-rayed or at the very least inspected for cracks using fluorescent dye, as they were stupid light, and prone to brittle failure. The barrels were likely discarded. Those hub adapters IIRC are machined from 7000 series aluminum, which is also, while enjoying a stupid-high modulus for aluminum, are brittle.
