16x7 4x100 et 38mm wheels, can i run them on normal E30 325

hey guys,

i know Et20mm is proper offset and i've done a ton of searching on the forums and it seems everyone runs spacers b/c of the "look" but will 16x7 et 38mm wheels FIT ? I do not care about the looks, i just want to know if they will fit with no rubbing problems (aka meaning they wont hit spring assembly and etc). Even if they look like the wheels are sucked in... i dont care i just want to know if they will fit without rubbing. thx

They will either clear the strut by about a mm or just rub it.
