Best looking wheels on an mtech2 vert?

So have a 91 mtech2 AWII vert, with 16x7 O.Z. Crono HT Bright Silver. Pretty much awful looking wheels, only my wife likes them.
I need some r3v opinion on which direction I should go with. I do have 8 style 5's but I doubt they'll fit being 8" wide. I do DD the car as in the pic below.

What is the best wheels for this car?

Alpinas are the best looking wheels on a vert, IMO. Big RSs look really good, as do Style 5s. On a vert, you've got to be rocking at least 17's, anything small just doesn't look very good. The M-Tech II kit adds a good amount of girth (aesthetically), so you need big wheels to go with it.

i cant imagine 8 inches not fitting. if your having problems with it then you need to mess with offset. im running 16x9.5 in the back and im not even at the fender.

        id reccomend some 17inch rs's.
i have 17x8 redrilled style 5s for sale if your interested.

thx for all the input so far, im not a wheel/tire guy so if you say 8's will fit, then they must.
so something like 17x7.5-8 Alpina/RSs. just feeling out what most people think is best.

I think 17" is way too big. 16x7.5-8 will look awesome

I'm running style5 17x8 in front and 17x9 in the back. Just have to make sure to run the right offset.
