Refinishing BBS RS and I have some questions..

First off, can you re use the bolts for the faces?

Secondly, if not, where is the best place to purchase new bolts?

    Thanks!!

Haha gotcha. I was just checking as I have heard that you couldn't reuse the bolts because they're 'stretch bolts'. Thanks for the info

^ there's no such thing as 'stretch bolts' per se. It is just that with bolts you generally tighten them to around 70% of their maximum torque. This is about their comfortable limit. Any tighter or any higher loading on them can cause some stretch in the threads. Having said that, all fasteners under load will have some 'settling'. If the bolt has 'stretched' or been under high strain, it means they have exceeded their optimum performance and shouldn't be reused.

As such it technically depends on the fastener strength and what torque they are done up to. Provided it is comfortably in their range, they can be reused, however due to settlement the first time around they may take a slightly different tightening effort to acheive the same torque.

I just bought some from motorsporttech or kalib0y.

Little different but same chrome plating, and way cheaper.

Dont you need to add silicone to the threads? Mine had them once I removed the bolts.

I thought you added it where the air would leak out...?

You put it on the inside of the wheel. Well inside where the tire would go. Search and you will see! I used black RTV silicone. Make sure you clean the surface with acetone or some other cleaner.
