Had a bunch of reasonable stock wheels lying around sans tires and wheel weights, but with valve stems in each, and was curious to know the average weights of said wheels. Weighed each on a parcel scale, results below.
14" basketweave (no centers) average over 10 wheels 5.625kg/12.401lbs
14" bottle cap (no centers) average over 8 wheels 6.815kg/15.025lbs
14" steel wheel average over 5 wheels 8.08kg/17.813lbs
Perhaps others would be kind enough to share their stock and aftermarket real world wheel weights with the rest of us instead of manufacturer quoted weights.
