Thinking these are not going to work for me in a 8 to 8.5 width rim. I really dislike the stretched tire look.

But you're getting 225/45 right? That will not look stretched up to 9 inches on a 16" wheel.

Seeing that 225-45-16 is getting scarce I am debating getting some of these for my 16x8.5 BBS and some for my Hartge's that are on worn out Hankook RS2's.

Why not try Toyo R1R's?

I have DW's in 215/40/17 on my street rims. Nice & quiet. Comfy.
Steering precision off centre isn't its strong point, feels a little vague but overall I like them, especially given they are so cheap (~$110ea in my size)
