what is 5x5

some guy on craigslist is confusing me ive never heard of a 5x5 i thought it would be a 5x120 or 5x114? could somebody help me out on this one

5x5" is a standard bolt pattern, like 5x120mm is a metric one.

So, written in a more familiar fashion; 5x127

I thought "5x5" was something cops and military said that means "all clear" or "good to go"
