Will they fit based on this photo

Hello everyone. I have searched and searched and searched to try to answer the question I have, and I am finally just going to ask it.

    I have 205/50-16s (Falken 912s) on my 1987 325i seen below. Wheels are 16x8 Style 5's from an E38 (et23).

Based upon this picture, does anyone have insight for me on the follow:

-If I go up to a 225/45-16, will I have any rubbing issues?

The kind of answers I am looking for are
    -You will be fine
    -Minor/Major fender rolling required
-225's may not clear the strut, etc...

I know this is a bit silly, but test fitting isn't an option for me way out here in Bozeman, Montana. The suspension is bilstein rears/oe front shocks and tokico springs all around.

    Thanks in advance/flame suit on.

fender roll yes. major vs minor? just roll em as flat as you can while your in there doing it.

Need to know the wheel offset and what tire you plan to run.

Edit: reading fail. Still need to know the tire though.

Right, I will probably go with the Falken 452 unless someone sways me in a different, price comparable direction.

Edit: Falken's website shows the 512 in a 225/45 16, but I can't find it at any major online retailer. The width of that 225, and the design/purpose of that tire probably makes it the best choice for me if I can possibly find it.

        Treadwidth

        205/50
-Falken 512 (on car currently): 6.9in
        -Falken 452: 7.2

        225/45
        -Falken 512: 7.7in
        -Flaken 451: 7.9

          It's fine.
Rears need to be rolled flat.
Front don't assuming you aren't too low, but I would anyways.

This is also assuming you aren't running a spacer in the rear.

Thanks for pointing that out. There is an 8mm spacer in the front to help the wheels clear the brakes, but the rears currently don't have a spacer.

The car sits pretty high in the back, so I am not as concerned as I am about the front.

I was just looking to see if I missed something obvious such as "of course those won't fit" or "you will rub at full lock" etc..

I will probably roll the fenders and just go for it.

225/45R16 kumho on a 16x9 +15 wheel (sits about 18mm wider than your wheels currently) all ive done is roll the fenders flat. Gets a tiny scrub over big bumps but not even enough to wear anything off the side of the tire.

Id imagine you should be fine, only thing would be if your springs are too soft...

Well you have an early model so you could run 245s in the rear with some rolling. I don'y foresee and problems with a 225. I'd probsably run a 5mm up front and shave the caliper carrier down a little. I ran a 3mm up front with shaved carriers.

You wouldn't happen to have any other shots of that setup, would you...?

I didnt realise OP had an early model car, 225s will be fine as Einstein57 has said.

                      Excellent, thanks everyone!

                      So the consensus is.....

Early Model Arches + 225/45-16 = no rub in front, rears will be ok without rolling or minimal fender rolling.

                      Right?

Front varies on how low you are.
