I'm sick of cleaning my aluminum wheels...

I'm sick of taking hours to polish my wheels for them to start corroding and look like shit within a week. I guess this ocean air speeds up the process. Has anyone tried using and kind of aluminum wheel sealers that were worth a damn? I used the Eagle One wheel protectant sealer crap and it just made my wheels look foggy and smudged then a week later they were even more terrible. I'm about ready to remove the barrels and have them cleared. I came across this http://www.shineseal.com/products.htm. Has anyone used shine seal before? It's supposidly made by the same people that made zoop seal if you've used that before. Wonder if it works as good as it looks? Or does anyone else know of something better?

get better brake pads....if its brake dust.

      otherwise, i love polishing alloy..
sure it oxidizes right away , but it comes out so awesome.
sure it takes a lot of work, but it keeps my wax on and wax off muscles tuned :)

I just use basic mothers for the lips of my bbs. I polished the lips before I mounted the wheels and now after about a month of being on my car they look great still after just washing them like normal, its even rained a few times. No issues so far.

Tired of cleaning aluminum? Buy steel wheels. Change of pace.

i've got some OZ rims to go on my car and am a little concerned on this. There are a few wheel sealer products out there, just do some google searching. I am probably going to go for the Poorboys Wheel Sealant as it has good reviews.

I'd go clear powdercoat. A lot more work/money, but you will never have to touch them again.

Didn't think about clearing it with powder coat. I'm probably going to get that $100 kit that shine seal offers. Reviews on google seem to be pretty good, haven't heard anything bad really. If I do end up going that route, I'll probably do a small review on here to show you guys how it turns out.

I laid 5 coats of Chemical Guys Wheel Guard on after a couple of coats of mothers. Works well and doesn't dull the shine.
