I am completely lost when it comes to wheels

what is the difference between hub centric / lub centric or whatever they are called?

how do i know if the rim is either or

when it comes to offset, how will i know what will sit nice and flush, etc...

looking to buy rims but i'm confused!

All I do know is that I'm looking for something in the 4x100 range and 16"

was looking for something like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-New-16X7-4...ht_2153wt_1174

also think these would look good, but will they fit? http://www.ebay.com/itm/16x7-Konig-R...r#ht_513wt_956

Also, you need exactly 4x100 bolt pattern.

Hub centric means that the wheel mounts to and is centered by the vehicle's hub.

lug centric means that the wheel is centered by the wheel lugs. For our cars hub centric is what works, to put it most simply.

And to give you an idea, both sets of wheels you linked will need a 20mm spacer to look good.

So if I ordered a set and ran a 20mm spacer it would look and ride fine?

Yeah, might still be sunk in a tad. Honestly, you could probably find a better fitting set of wheels for the price you're gonna be paying for the wheels and spacers. Just my opinion, though.

FYI .. The only wheels I know of that anyone would run on an e30 that are lug centric are diamond racing steelies. The biggest downside of this is they can't be spin balanced you need a bubble balancer, and it is not going to be as accurate as a quality spin balancer. Also hub centric is much easier to mount when using lug bolts vs studs as the hub center will help hold the wheel on while starting the bolts.
For reference here's a bubble balancer

there's even more to it than you know.
been using this site for help with tire fitment, and offset. but this doesn't help with fenders.

i input my OEM (or current) setup on the left bank, and then play with the right bank to compare the two with a nice, visual element (all gui).
