225/45/17 too wide?

I just bought some new wheels for my e30. they are 17x7.0 et25. These are a direct fit wheel no spacers or anything. I have made my mind up on what tire to buy but I'm not sure if a 225/45 will fit without rolling the fenders? If I have to roll them for that size I will just go with some 215/45's if that isn't too much.

225/45R17 is a e36 size. Its way too tall for a e30.

The perfect tire for a 17x7 is 215/40R17.

That said I am running 225/45R17 front and 245/40R17 rear on my car, because the tires came with the wheels. The front tires do rub the brake duct baking plates enough that I've worn holes through them.
