    2 piece wheels

My 2 piece gottis are the type with the barrel and lip connected, and the face is seperated. Should I use silicone sealant for 2 piece wheels like the 3 piece ones?

When I took apart my gottis for refinishing, there was no sealant residue at all.

If I am understanding this right, then no you shouldn't. If the wheel and lip are permanently connected, then it is sealed off, no reason for silicone. If you put silicon between the barrel/lip and the face, it will compress when you torque down the bolts, and most likely it won't compress evenly, causing the bolts to loosen over time.
