TRMotorsport C1 in light grey paint

    Hey all,

I have done my search but did not find the answers I was looking for.

I want to buy a set of TRMotorsport C1 in light grey paint in 15x8. Now I want to know about fitment on a lowered 1991 325i. The car is not slammed is on stock wheels with decent clearance.

    Here are my questions
    1. Would I have to roll my fenders?
    2. Will I have to run 225/50-15s? Or what is recommended?
    3. I read I dont have to run spacers, is that correct?
    4. Lastly, do you guys recommend light grey or bright silver for a alpine white e30?

    Thanks
    Shah

      1. Depends on tire choice. With 225/50's you're going to scrub sidewall during suspension compression in the rear regardless of fender roll because of the late model 'bulge' inside above the lip. My unrolled fronts didn't rub with H&R Sports HOWEVER my tread grabbed the lips and tweaked them outward with wheels turned and light suspension compression. There is no need to roll and you won't have any rubbing with 205/50s but you'll be running a 23" diameter tire vs. stock 24".

      2. See above.

      3. Correct. No spacers required although with 225/50s inside front tire clearance to the strut is minimal.

      4. Gray hands down. The TR C1 silver looks like rattle can chrome imo.

If you want a safe fitment without worrying about rubbing go with a 205/55. Otherwise a nice roll and a 225/50 is no problem.

                          Good morning all,

So I finally had the funds to get all my wheels have them mounted. We mounted the wheels and everything appears fine but when I attempted to pull out of the shop I could feel rubbing. So jacked it back up again and we realized only the front driver side was rubbing against the strut to the wheel. However, the passenger side was not rubbbing, which I find stranger.

I'm running 205/50/15 Dunlop Direzza on 15x8. The car is lowered just cant recall what its lowered on since I bought the car. I will find out.
