    E46 Fitment Question

1999 E46. I want to run an 18 or 19 inch wheel. 45 or 50 series tire. Staggered look. Flush stance. No rub. No spacers. Front drop (rake). What would be the recommedation on wheel size? Et? Tire size? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Wheel size will determine your tire wall size. 2door or 4-door? If I am correct, e46 run higher offsets 30+ and your able to get away with wider wheel/lower offset on rear on 2doors compared to 4doors. I've seen some run style 5's w/ et20 square setup and looks pretty flush.
    Some stock e46's run 225/45/17.

Thanks for the quick reply. Thinking of getting the e46 as a daily. Put the e30 in storage. I was hoping to get good output from some guys on this thread. This is my hometown. Kind of like getting info from the other team. LoL.

So no 18 or 19 inch wheel/ tire set ups huh?????

45 or 50 series tire would be too big IMO

On my e46 coupe I ran bmw style 32, 18x8 et20 with 215/40/18 tire on all 4. The rear had a little poke, definitely looked staggered. In my opinion it was perfect fitment. Also had a set of VMR V710 19x9.5 ET45 (rear) and 19x8.5 ET35 (front) with 255/30/19 in the back and 225/35/19 in the front. Surprisingly, this was a more mild setup with less 'poke'. However, neither setup rubbed with H&R sport cup kit and I could have easily gone another inch lower

Would a 4 sedan make a difference in wheel size and width? I like the 19 better. My personal preference would be 19x9 and 19x8. Seems like if I went to an 18 inch wheel. I could run 45 series tires. IMHO. 35 series tires have a small side wall. The ride is too hard and stiff for my taste. Recommended et on the 18's? Preferably 18x9 and 18x8.

If the wheel diameter is big enough to necessitate a lower profile to have the correct diameter, I think you should run the correct profile. If you don't want a harsher ride get smaller wheels, not bigger tires.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

a 35 profile is way too thin. and not to mention the lack of lateral traction as the side wall cant flex and stretch. unless your wanting to drift and do skids a small side wall is rubbish for almost all other walks to motoring.

Any body got some picks of 18's on an e46. I'm looking for flush staggered stance. Preferably with 40, 45 series tires. I do not mind going to 17's with 50 series tires for that staggered flush look. Post wheel size, tire size, and et. Thanks.
