ID:	7229698What do you think of these for my winter rims? I never really looked at these rims, but now I see them ALL over on lots of non-euro type cars. So you can dish on these too if you want. But I found them for $50 on craigslist and then tracked down the hubcentric rings to fit.

Probably will seem portly at 17? lbs. compared to the stock IX weaves too. Seen so many ice and snow stories on these forums, thought it was time to winter up!

Here is the finished product first pics of my $363 extreme winter makeover build thread.

AR rims, circa 1997 from a shed find on craigslists $50
Set of ex-subaru Hankook Zovak HP401 craigslist $100
Hubcentric rings , AR 70.5-57.1 $10- Summit racing
16- AR lug bolts $48- Summit racing
Mount, balance and swap $55 Les Scwab

Easier to clean the winter muck off than those weaves! What do you think?

Ancient stud tires like those are probably worse in inclement weather than a modern all-season. Tire technology has come so far in the last 10 years that anything that old should be relegated to the dumpster

I'd totally rock the wheels though :)
