I think you can order those adapters as thin as 18mm.

I have the adaptec adapters. Min thivkness of 18mm. They will not make them thinner.

They go for 380 shipped for four at 18mm thick. I only needed 2 (dont ask) paid 200 shipped. Took a wek to get them.
