Does it fit: 17x8.5 et23 on E30 Rear?

Would a 17x8.5" et23 wheel fit on the rear of my E30? I am lower then stock, on H&Rs...

I have the chance to buy some DSII's for a good price, staggered. Fronts are 7.5, rears are 8.5, et41. I need the 4x100->5x120 adapters which I would get 18mm, making the offset et23...

Would these wheels work on the back is what I am wondering. For the price of the adapters ($400) I can almost get a 5-lug swap... But I'd honestly rather have adapters as my other wheels are all 4x100.

    Yeah that'll fit.
If you go square tire, you need a minor roll in the rear.

I would most likely run a 215/40R17 or a 225/35R17 on the rear.

Then you're fine with probably little to no roll since that tire will slightly stretch.
