    Wider wheels for a 1991 318is

    Hey guys,

Like I have said before, I'm new to the e30 family. I've seen a lot of e30's with wide tires, and I'm aware that you can buy new wheels. My questions concerns sizing. I've heard that the model I have is hard to find tires/wheels for that fit well. Does anyone with a similar car know a size that would work? I don't know a lot about wheels, but I'd love a little advice.

Keep the wheel weight under 14.5lbs, 318is don't have much horsepower.

15x8 TRM C1's or Enkei 92's and a 225/50 tire would be pretty good, in my opinion.

I put 205/60/14 tires on my stock 14" basketweaves. Slightly wider than stock, looks sporty, handles better (more grip) and the weight is still down. I think it's the way to go if you don't actually want new wheels.

Your e30's suspension is the same as any other e30, so there's no difficulty/difference in fitting stuff on a 318is compared to any other non-M e30.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Do you happen to have pictures of that? I'm about to put some 205/60's on a set of weaves I picked up and I'm curious how it is going to look... Thanks!
