Anyone know how to remove black plastic ring that holds in the silver plastic locking piece in the actual center cap?

The goal is to completely disassemble the cap so I can paint the metal without hitting the plastic piece that holds the emblem holder. Sorry no pics at this time.

bump. It's been a while and I can't remember how to take them apart. It's the same procedure for euroweaves and 14" weaves, right?

Had some time to figure it out. Turn the centercap over to the back. You'll see a thin wire circlip. Remove the circlip. Now get a flat-head screwdriver, or plastic prying tool if you don't want to mark up the back of the centercap. From the rear of the centercap, stick the screwdriver between the ridge of the black plastic cone and the metal waffle and pry it up. The cone is held on by three equally-spaced tabs, so pry around the the circle and you'll be able to dislodge all three tabs.
