Tires for 16x8.5 and 16x9.5 Wheels with mild stretch

Could really appreciate some advice here. Recently purchased these wheels for an e30 M3:

    ACT Mesh/Ronal LS in 16x8.5 ET10 and 16x9.5 ET14

Running in circles looking for the right tires as choices in 16" are limited.

Would like a MILD stretch. Stock e30 M3 tires size is 205/55r15. What would you recommend for sizes, preferably those that are currently available?

    Thanks!

Thanks, was thinking that. Any suggestions on make/brand? I can't find anything that matches... driving me nuts.

Off the top of my head:

        215/45:
        Falken Azenis
        Khumo ecsta XS
        Maxxis something something

        225/45:
        Falken 452
        Dunlop dz2's (new!)
        Toyo r1r
        BFG kdw

I've been researching the bigger size for a while now

I agree with ak- those sizes will get you a mild stretch.

I would stick with BFG KDW, they wear very well and have a ton of traction while not failing in rain. They are also great at highway speeds.

thanks! First set of staggered wheels for me, so this may be a dumb question. It's generally OK to run different tires front and rear? Seems like I won't have a choice.

From my personal experience, the R1R's run wider than those other's I've mentioned.
It's certainly fine, though I wish tire companies would expand more on 16's!

Agreed, but that simplifies things, thanks!

205/45 Yokohama s.drives would look good on the 8.5's. This is what they look like on 9's.

205/50 225/45 stagger for matching tires. Diameters will match this way also.

                        225-45-16 on a 16x9

Hope you have are not too low or have rolled arches as those have serious poke. Those are E34 wheels correct?

This is a 8.5 on the rear with a 225-45-16
