    Cheap 17x10 wheels

I was looking for a cheap set of wide wheels to run while i practice drifting. Came across these and thought they could do the job. 17x10 et 20 or 25. for reference i'm running 17x9 et 20 wheels plus 12mm spacers up front and 17x10 et -3 out back so i'd probably need 20-25mm spacers since i'd run these with 225-235 tires

Google mustang sc 17x10. They tend to go for $134 each shipped or $510 for a staggered (17x9) set. Adapters can be had for $110 and redrill for $100. Here is a set I had done from 4x108 to 4x100

Dual drill is the homo's, but same price and no need to play with adapters since I think the Mustang wheels come in 4x108 or something.

                RustStangs are 4x114 I thinks...

But those CCW reps are nice looking as well. Seen them on a 90 Jetta in my area looked good up close.
You say they'll be used for practicing drifting? Do you think these will hold up if you go into a wall or hit the edge of the track/street/curb? Maybe not super hard or anything......Just curious... because of all of those XXR failed wheel pics online. If they're cheap enough, I guess:wgaf:

I used to work at an insurance salvage yard and can tell you it does not mater how expensive the wheel is, they can all explode if hit in the sweet spot. Seen 10k wheels on ferraris, lambos, you name it all in pieces. I figure if I bend or crack a cheap rim then I can easily replace it. Replacing my 17x10 RC 090 barrel will be $600 bill each and a 6 month wait.

They'll hold up fine, even the softest wheels are still pretty durable and won't just break for no reason. Most of those pics are of cars that hit walls or other immovable objects at high speeds. Also let's not forget that even HRE wheels were BANNED from tracks at one point because they were prone to breaking, so more expensive doesn't always mean more durable. Hell one of those anti-replica wheel pics with the broken wheel has a picture of an HRE wheel claiming its a rep lol

the nutstain wheels look pretty good. but xxrs are your best bet for cheap wheels. im running 9.75 et25 in the rear and it fits good. but why do you want such wide wheels for drifting? traction isnt exactly the goal. can someone fill me in on what im missing?

It actually kinda is. You need to have rear grip to propel you forward while your sliding. I would not recommend it for a stock m20 but I plan on being at 20+ lbs of boost. When I went to formula d in long beach all the top guys were running 275 or wider on sticky tires. Skip to 4:50
