Can someone give me an idea of what the added offset will be with z3 rear hubs in the stock e30 trailing arms?
Edit: Nevermind I found it. 23.2mm

Tires are way to tall. Should be 225/40/17, but since they do not exist, 215/40/17, or if your offset will allow it, a 235/40/17 can fit in the front.Leave a comment:

17x8 Hartge Type A on E36 M3 front and Ti rear

Any ideas on how I can stop them from rubbing with the slightest turn? 225X45X17 tires front and rear.Leave a comment:

I have an extra 17x9 style 32 that needs a bit of work. Let me know if you need just one.Leave a comment:

They are a squared set as of now...17x8 et20. Not sure if I want to keep them, trade two for some 9" or what. For the price I would have been stupid to pass them up.Leave a comment:

Weight of E39 17x8 Style 5?
Can any one provide information or know what the weight of a style 5 is? I looked here:
But it didn't have any weight information. Just curious.....Leave a comment:

Then E38 weaves are The One You Want. (IMO.)
But since you mention track use... you do know you're gonna be limited as to how much front camber you can get out of the E36 setup, right? (yes, even with camber plates.)
I'm happy with it, but it took a lot of tire and a lot of weight out of the nose to get me there (and i started with an M42 car), and my car is street-use-only.Last edited by decay; 03-11-2013, 08:02 AM.Leave a comment:

Yeah, I would like to just get some street wheels of some sort and save for some nice lite race wheels. That's why I have been looking for some standard bimmer wheels I could use to get me to the track, them spend the Large dolla on something to get me around the track.Leave a comment:

God damnit. Mobile browser ate my post.
Don't quote me, verify on realoem/felgenkatalog, but I want to say just over 17lbs? Surprisingly light, about 2-3lbs less than Borbet As in e38 fitment.
I did not have much luck finding anything of comparable size/offset that was lighter, but if you are a particularly dedicated searcher or have cnx at a wheel mfg/dist, you might.Leave a comment:

What kind of weight are we talking, I saw a few sets over on bimmer forums, when its up that I could nail down. I also have been chasing a few style 42 sets as well.Yep. I've got another set waiting in the wings for when I feel like being a bit silly, but the 5s are staying (possibly the only set of wheels in the world owned by both a r3v and an e3t mod? ;)).
Usually picking a set of wheels goes "strong/light/cheap; pick two", but e38 weaves are strong and light, and the prevalence of E38s has made them cheap in the secondary market. Whether you are or are not budget-minded, they are a hard option to beat, especially if (like me) you care about function and aesthetics but not exclusivity.Leave a comment:

It does! you are the man. Thanks for the clarification to on the difference. It really helps me nail down what I am looking for!First- just say "E36 suspension" offset, as there isn't a difference between E36M/non-M for what you're talking about. You may not care about non-M stuff but someone else who reads this and wants "mild" BBK rather than "huge" might get confused.
Second- E36 suspension is about the same as adding a 20mm spacer; which is where my comment about the fender roller came from if you want to run low-offset wheels. While my 5-lug was being put together, a set of E30M3 wheels were used as placeholders and they sat flush with stock fenders. Hopefully this answers your question.Leave a comment:
