Polishing Steelies?

I have a set of steelies from my 280Z and I was thinking of painting and throwing them on CL, but then I had the idea of polishing them...

Anyone have experiencing with polishing these type of wheels or just this kind of steel in general?

I've seen brushed steel, which is a possibility, but I was thinking maybe I could get a mag type finish?

you will need to clear coat them at the very least. they'll rust overnight.
