    Would 225's fit 9" rims?

      "fit" is subjective.

      They'll mount. They'll run without popping. But they will handle poorly, and leave the rims completely open to curbs, road debris, etc.

      If you want deep dish rims for looks and don't want to do the work to put real rubber on them, go right ahead. Just know the consequences.

            hmm, I usually HATE the stretched look but 225's on a 16x9 dont look bad. Only moderately stretched.

                  They hardly look stretched at all, the sidewalls are almost straight/flush, I'd like to run this size but HATE a car that rubs.

                    225/25.6=8.79 inches i'd say its not stretched.

                      225 is the section width NOT the tread width as with a race tyre.

                      I presume you mean a 225/35 if it's going on a 18" wheel.
                      That is going to be horrifically stretched, a 245/35 would still look stretched on a 9" rim.
