my buddy put wheels on his car and the offset was +10mm, wil these fit my car, they are +40mm offset

yea I mean +0mm offset and do you mean wheel spacers?

You need hub rings. 67.1 to 57.1 to center the wheel on your E30 hub. Ebay it too. a set of 4 is about 15 bucks

ok that's awesome, I will deff get those but do I have to worr about the rims hitting my suspension based on the fact of the offset

Yeah I searched the tech side but not a lot of info seems like my best bet would be 215/40r17s and hub rings like u said
